But, what if you make lots of cutting boards to sell at craft fairs? Or you make several as gifts, and what if they are all different sizes? It’s possible to create a one-off jig, just by screwing some pieces to a surface to accomplish this. Also, it’s important that these are the exact same all the way around the cutting board so that the corners of the groove line up just right. There must be a guide fence of some sort for the router to ride along, and a stop at either end. On the surface it seems like an easy task, but it’s not as simple as all that.
